FURTHER DETAILS

We start the series by giving away cycling experiences in South Moravia. You'll pass countless vineyards and the Pálava monument Děvín will always be on your horizon. Compared to the following mountain monuments, you won't face as many climbing challenges, but it certainly won't be just a flat ride.

And also compared to the other two monuments, we come up with a route that will take you on a circuit. If you choose sportive style, you can choose whether to circle the Lednice-Valtice area and the Palava for a longer period of time, or head to the finish earlier after completing one or two circuits. In case you prefer the race, you ride the complete three circuits.

Two formats: sportive style and race

Do you want to enjoy closed roads, a varied route full of beautiful places and relax at the refreshment stations? Then we have a sportive style format for you.

Do you like big challenges and want to keep your coffee as a reward after crossing the finish line? Then choose the second format, push as hard as you can and keep the total time to a minimum.

Sportive style and race classification

Participants of race ride for overall and premium/segment standings. The "swing riders" choose to swing because they don't need to chase seconds and prefer the comfort of closed roads. We will of course time them, but will not create a final classification. However, we still offer an element of competitiveness - focus on the segments.

Who we are announcing

At the race we announce and award the top three men and top three women. At the same time, another winner and a winner will come from the segments - we add up the points from two climbing and one spurter. The sportive style will also have a segment king and queen. We do not keep different age categories for either format.

Service

You can take advantage of the service in the hinterland and on the route.

We want those who have had a love for road cycling for a long time, as well as those who are just discovering or developing this love, to enjoy Pálava. And we understand that the 143-kilometre route requires a lot of effort.

Therefore, you can choose whether to complete the full route or choose a shorter alternative. You don't have to tell us anything in advance, you can decide on the day of the monument. Registration is not related to the route, you get the same service, a medal at the finish awaits everyone. Only if you sign up for the race format and end up deciding - or having to because of the limit - to take the shorter option, you will automatically be placed in the swing category.

Everyone will first go through Milovice, Pavlov, the summit finish in Klentnice and Mikulov.

If you don't have a problem on your return to Milovice, need a lot of kilometres and keep your average speed above 25,5 kph, you will have to do the Milovice-Zaječí-Strachotín-Dolní Věstonice-Pavlov-Klentnice-Milovice circuit twice, with additional attempts on the summit segment. You will record about 1550 meters climbed.

In case you don't have the necessary speed or you are fine with the small circuit Milovice-Pavlov-Klentnice-Mikulov-Milovice, in Milovice you will go straight to the finish at the Reistna colonnade and not continue towards Zaječí. In total you will cover 64 km and climb 750 metres.
